Pre-Registered badges and event tickets
Cancellation or refund requests for pre-registered badges and/or event tickets for the Origins Game Fair must be submitted by the pre-registration deadline. Send requests to registration(at)gama.org. All requests must be submitted from the same email address used to create the original registration. All refunds will be credited to the original card used for purchased and are subject to a $10 administrative fee. Cancellation/refund requests will not be accepted after the cutoff date.
Origins Game Fair Badges are not transferable.
Event tickets and generics onsite
Event Tickets – An attendee must have a badge to purchase event tickets. Refunds for event tickets will only be issued if the event is cancelled (the event ticket MUST be signed by the applicable Area Manager at the event HQ to receive this refund).
Generics – Unused generics can be returned for a refund by 5pm Sunday. Generics cannot be purchased by attendees with the Family Day Pass wristband
Information GAMA collects, how it is collected, and how it is used
GAMA collects a user’s name and email address upon completion of registration for GAMA events: GAMA Trade Show and the Origins Game Fair. Information may also be collected from GAMA affiliates. This information is provided to GAMA by GAMA members. GAMA may use personal information to send the user email, to respond to questions, and complete the user’s registration; personal information may be disclosed or transferred to members of the Game Manufacturers Association.
Some personal information is required to complete registration for GAMA events: GAMA Trade Show and the Origins Game Fair. Your refusal to provide this information could result in an incomplete registration for the event.

Origins Game Fair Social Media User Guidelines
The Origins Game Fair is pleased to provide a forum for sharing and interacting with others about our show. Our goal is to build a thriving community on our social media networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) that allows users to connect and share about visiting the show. The viewpoints, opinions and actions expressed in comments are those of the individuals themselves, and may not reflect Origins Game Fair policies or positions.
The Origins Game Fair seeks to provide an online community where people with all kinds of views, theories, and concerns can express themselves, can share information, and can interact with one another. Any messages or stories shared on these sites may be used in other Origins Game Fair marketing activities.
Please review our online community guidelines regarding your responsibilities and the Origins Game Fair’s role in the community.
Be respectful. It is okay to disagree with others but cutting down or insulting individuals will not be tolerated. The Origins Game Fair, at its sole discretion, will remove comments which use obscenities, personal insults, ethnic slurs or other disparaging language.
One person, one voice. Please refrain from comments that imply you speak for another person or a group unless you name those you represent. Everybody is allowed to respectfully state their opinions and are encouraged to do so.
Hijacking Threads. Please do not. If your comments are not relevant to the original post please start a new thread.
Protect your privacy. We never will share or sell your personal information used to create your account with any third party, but keep in mind that comments on our social networks are visible to the general public. To protect your privacy, don’t post any personal information such as email addresses, telephone numbers or street addresses in your comments. Doing so may make you susceptible to spam and unauthorized communication.
Links to other web sites. The Origins Game Fair is not responsible for the content of any web site linked to a comment by one of our users, any link contained in a linked web site, or any changes or updates to such web sites. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by the Origins Game Fair of that web site.
Conventions that wish to post information about their conventions on the Origins Game Fair Facebook group/page must first contact Origins Game Fair and be active in some aspect of Origins Game Fair’s Convention Exchange program. Please contact pr(at)gama.org for more information on our Convention Exchange program.
Companies that wish to post on the Origins Game Fair group/page must be an exhibitor at the show, a sponsor of the show, or have an advertising agreement with Origins Game Fair. Company posts must be limited to product information or their involvement at Origins Game Fair.
Crowdfunding: Origins Game Fair does not back or endorse any crowdfunding projects. Posts advertising crowdfunding projects must have an existing relationship with Origins Game Fair or have written approval from Origins Game Fair to post. Crowdfunding posts made to Origins Game Fair social media that do not meet these requirements automatically infer the highest tier funding status of the project and agree to compensate Origins Game Fair at that level.
The bottom line. The Origins Game Fair reserves the right to delete or edit any comments or postings at any time. Users who persist in violating these social media guidelines may be barred from posting to any Origins Game Fair social media site. Origins Game Fair reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.

Origins Game Fair Code of Conduct Policy
Origins Game Fair constantly reviews the Code of Conduct. If you have any comments to make on this process, or suggestions for edits, please email pr(at)gama.org.
Origins Game Fair is dedicated to providing a harassment-free and positive experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of convention participants in any form. Images, language and behavior that disrespect any parties or groups at Origins Game Fair are not appropriate in any official venue of the show. We expect all attendees to behave appropriately and follow the Code of Conduct at all Origins Game Fair venues and related social events.
Origins Game Fair subcontractors, exhibitors, hotel staff and convention center staff are also subject to the Code of Conduct.
Convention Badges must be worn by all attendees and volunteers and must be visible to access any convention area (including Exhibit Hall and off site events).
Area Managers, Origins Game Fair Security, and GMs are responsible for the comfort and safety of convention attendees in their areas. Disruptive behavior by adults or children is not acceptable. Any request to leave an area must be complied with immediately; appeals should be brought to attention of Origins Game Fair Staff.
If an Origins Game Fair attendee engages in harassing behavior, the convention organizers may take any lawful action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to warning the offender, expelling them from the convention with no refund, or a possible permanent from future Origins Game Fair events. Persons violating the law may be turned over to the police or the hotel/convention center security.
Origins Game Fair expects its attendees to respect each other and behave in a generally civilized fashion. Attendees should respect common sense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Additionally, all Staff and Area Managers are representatives of Origins Game Fair and therefore are held to a higher standard of behavior, even when off duty.
Reminder: The hotels and convention center are not necessarily dedicated completely to our use for the weekend. Members of the general public stay here or visit the hotels to dine and socialize. Please be considerate of non-convention individuals at all times.
Origins Game Fair forbids abusive, insulting, harassing or intimidating behavior or any kind.
Sleeping in public or convention areas is forbidden.
Convention Center Staff, Hotel Staff, Area Managers, Origins Game Fair Security, and GMs are responsible for the comfort and safety of convention attendees in their areas. Any request to leave an area must be complied with immediately; appeals should be brought to attention of Origins Game Fair Staff.
There is no official dress code. While we firmly believe that costumes do not equal consent, and that cosplay often involves a bit of skimp, please remember we are a family show and we require a PG rating. You may not wear any uniform that is currently in service as a costume. This includes police uniforms, active military wear, or the dress uniform of any military service. All weapon replicas must be cleared by convention security and “peace bonded.” Actual weapons are expressly prohibited on convention premises. Replica weapons purchased in the Exhibit Hall must be immediately secured in the vehicle or hotel room of the purchaser.
Costumes that have no purpose other than to be confrontational are likely to get a warning, as such outfits that may impact on the enjoyment of other attendees. If you’re unsure, please ask an Origins Staff Member. For insurance purposes, all attendees must wear footwear.
Please be polite and ask before taking photographs or recordings of attendees and guests whenever possible. Photography for personal archival use only is generally acceptable, unless individuals make it clear that they do not wish to be photographed, in which case taking any photographs of them is expressly forbidden.
Equipment under use by Origins Game Fair may only be used with permission. Unauthorized access will be followed by ejection from the con, and the bill for any damage or loss will be sent to the attendee. Damage to the premises will be billed to the attendee in question, including damage to walls.
The convention site is a non-smoking venue, and attendees must abide by the terms and conditions set out by the venue, and any other legally governed restrictions. Attendees in breach may be ejected by the venue or the Origins Game Fair Staff at their discretion.
Origins Game Fair supports the responsible service and consumption of alcohol in designated areas and in compliance with local statutes.
We want to remind parents that they are responsible for their children at all times. If a child wanders away, please check with the convention staff. Disruptive behavior by adults or children is not acceptable. If your child is left unattended, a staff member observes a child misbehaving to the point of endangering self or others, destroying hotel property or disrupting programming, the child’s membership badge will be confiscated. The child will be taken to the Show Office until a parent can be located and informed of the situation. If further offenses occur, the child’s badge will be revoked, and the parent will be asked to remove the child permanently from convention areas.
No live animals will be allowed at Origins Game Fair. This includes snakes, lizards, cats, dogs, rats, ferrets, spiders, dinosaurs, birds, butterflies, etc. For our purposes, guide dogs and other animals trained to assist a disabled person are considered to be people and will be allowed.
