  • Since 1972, Dana Lombardy worked as a researcher, writer, editor, cartographer, and creator of hundreds of magazines, books, and games dealing with military history. The latest scholarship, official histories, diaries/memoirs, and primary sources (the actual historical documents) were used to create the articles, manuscripts, and designs. From 1996 to 2000, publisher of Napoleon Journal, an international journal devoted to the study of the wars of the French Revolution and Age of Napoleon. He was an associate editor for Armchair General online. Former publisher of World War One Illustrated.

  • He designed over a dozen wargames and contributed to at least two dozen more. In 1971, he founded SDC (Simulations Design Corporation) to publish his game Dunkerque: 1940. Kevin Zucker persuaded him to publish Conflict magazine. Designed the award-winning Streets of Stalingrad board wargame, published in 1979 (its third edition in 2002). Received 2019 International Serious Play award for Educational Board Game – Russia's Great War: 1914.
